Christmas on a green screen: backgrounds and ideas for TikTok and Reels
December in Latin America is a long season: posadas in Mexico and novenas in Colombia from the 16th to the 24th, Christmas Eve dinner, Secret Santa and last-minute gifts. It's the month when the most people film at home, and not everyone has a nice tree or a decorated living room. With a Christmas background and warm light, any corner becomes a set.
Video ideas for creators
- Your family's Christmas Eve recipe (tamales, hallacas, buñuelos, pernil) step by step in front of a set table.
- A "types of guests at Christmas dinner" sketch: the aunt asking about your love life, the cousin who shows up late.
- A countdown to Christmas with one tradition from your country each day.
- Gift ideas by budget, so people can save the video and come back to it.
Ideas for businesses and brands
- A gift guide with your products and the price on the overlay's tag.
- A clear order cut-off date so gifts arrive before the 24th.
- A gift-wrap unboxing that shows how the order arrives.
- A short end-of-year greeting from the team on your brand background.
Filming tips
- Use warm light on your face to match candle and string-light backgrounds; avoid cold white ceiling light.
- Colored lights behind you confuse the key: if you use a green cloth, switch them off while filming.
- Film recipes with the phone on a tripod and your body slightly turned so the table stays visible.
Kits for this season
